The drawers to the right hold all of the boys coloring books, paper, glue, markers etc...the table to the left holds my Cricut, sewing machine and has tons of open space for sewing or other craft projects now that it's not taken up with storage!
The bottom still holds my serving dishes, but look at all that room for more craft/art supplies up top!
...instead of all jumbled together in plastic crates and baggies. It's not perfect yet, but OH so much better. However this creates a whole other issue: Inspiration. And not just inspiration to do one project. Seeing all of those supplies out in the open and easily accessible just makes me add stuff to the list that I had forgotten about.
I wanted to cover an old mirror frame with cool fabric and ribbon, bought supplies but then they got lost in the mess. Guess what I found while reorganizing? You guessed it! Material I purchased with nothing in particular in mind is now staring at me begging to be made into something. Oh look! I have an entire bag full of little glass mosaics the boys and I can do something with.
And if I remade my hutch into a craft center, what other furniture do we have that I can reinvent? I have 2 plain, white bookshelves that are just begging for something to make them stand out....fabric, paint, pictures of some variety!
All of this leads me to the interwebz and my fellow crafty moms....and that my friends is where my true addiction lies. All of these wonderful, artsy, crafty (and usually sassy!) women make me wish there were 12 more hours in a day!
Ten links in random order that are causing my to-do list to grow and grow....
1. The most snuggly blanket...Ewan wants one badly...
2. Very cool fabric decoupage....I have SO many items in my house I want to redo with this...
3. Beautiful skirt that I want to make!
4. Love these ornaments for next Christmas but I'll have to start them soon or they'll never get done!
5. These are so cute and I think I can adjust them to make them look Leprechaunish too!
6. These look like a fun project for springtime!
7. I haven't had a garden in years but this year I want to change that..
8. This makes me want to give every window in our place a facelift..
9. Have been wanting to learn to knit for years but now I really want to make it happen!
10. All of these tutorial/patterns are so pretty...who can decide??
And this barely scratches the surface. You can't click just once...there are so many wonderful ideas out there!! I'm going to attempt to narrow down things to a few projects per season....the mosaics, garden and skirts for spring..knitting and crocheting over the summer while the boys play. I just don't know if I can wait to start some of these!!
And of course I'll share all of my escapades with you! Wish me luck ;)

thanks for sharing! now my craft to-do list is even longer! now we just need to make our days longer so we have time to work on all this.
That's exactly it! I need to add at least 12 daylight hours in order to do all of the stuff I want to do. I try really hard to narrow it down to the top 5, but it ain't workin'!
Just love it!!!!! Come help me organize my craft room in the basement...hahaha not that I'll be participating in the crafts.
